Why the price is what it is
You are not paying for bytes.
The raw number of bytes stored is not the value. The value is structured tax knowledge, verified current-year information, year-to-year continuity, reusable relationships, persistent attributes, carryforward tracking, document association, provenance, audit history, interoperability, reduced repetitive entry, easier preparation — and, eventually, returns that mostly prepare themselves.
The plan is for Gideon Tax to become free as its development costs are recovered. Keep is the part that stays paid: the continuity layer, priced so that it is never the thing you cut. If Keep ever fails to be worth $20 or $80 a year, the right answer is to fix Keep, not to raise the price.
